Position Overview:

  • Surface Preparation: Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking, and priming to achieve a smooth and clean foundation for painting.
  • Sanding and Filling: Utilize sandpaper and other tools to smooth out imperfections, applying filler as needed to address dents, scratches, or other damages.
  • Masking: Skillfully mask off areas that should not be painted, demonstrating attention to detail to avoid overspray.
  • Priming: Apply the appropriate primer to ensure proper adhesion of the paint and enhance the overall finish.
  • Color Matching: Assist in color matching processes to achieve the desired paint color, matching the vehicle’s original or specified color code.
  • Quality Control: Inspect prepared surfaces for imperfections, ensuring that vehicles meet quality standards for the painting process.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the work area clean and well-maintained, including cleaning tools and equipment used in the prepping process.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including painters and technicians, to ensure a seamless workflow.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in auto body prepping is a plus.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and background check.
